Waylin Dean Hoshauer

Waylin Dean Hoshauer, 18 of Ramsey, IL passed away at 2:26 PM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the Walnut Grove Christian Church, 12930 East County Road 1700 North, Arcola, IL. Pastor Aaron Boothe will officiate. Burial will follow in the Humboldt Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the church. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Waylin was born on November 6, 2006 in Mattoon, IL. He was a son of Glenn Alan and Stephanie Suzanne (Sanders) Hoshauer.

He is survived by his parents, Stephanie Combs and her husband Chris of Ramsey, IL and Glenn Hoshauer of Altamont, IL, Alex Hoshauer of Ashmore, IL, Landon Hoshauer of Mattoon, IL and Jayde Brown and her husband Carson of Fairbanks, AK, Cameron Combs and his wife Allie and Madison Smith and her husband Jesse all of Harrison, AR, nieces and nephews, Remington, Abilene, Beau, Sage and Colsen, and grandparents, Dean and Carol Nelson of Charleston, IL and Eugene Sanders of Tuscola, IL, Linda and Francis Hoshauer of Atwood, IL, Terry and Linda Cole of Charleston, IL and Ken and Mary Combs of Lafayette, IN.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Bob and Frances Hudson and Bud and Nora Sanders.

Waylin was a 2025 graduate of Ramsey High School. While in high school he was a member of the FFA, the yearbook club and the scholastic bowl team. He had a deep love for the simple joys in life. He enjoyed getting lost in a book, spending time with his friends and goofing around with his nieces and nephew. His love for those closest to him was steady, genuine and unforgettable. Waylin worked at Mc Donalds in Vandalia, IL. And enjoyed his coworkers.

He was a member of Walnut Grove Christian Church in rural Arcola, IL.
