Waymon Earl Gentry, 80, of Robinson passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Waco Memorial Park. There will be a visitation Friday, January 31, 2025 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Waymon was born August 27, 1944 to Archie Gentry and Ruth Fowler Gentry. He grew up in Hamilton, TX and later moved to Waco, TX. He married Glenda Lathern Richardson on June 9, 1967 and made their home in Robinson, TX for over 50 years. Waymon was a local Real Estate Broker and Home Builder.
It is hard to put into words what Waymon meant to his family, friends, and the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Gentry; brother, Melvin Gentry; sons, Tony Gentry and Keith Gentry.
Waymon is survived by his wife, Glenda; sister, June Saulters and husband Phillip; brother, Norman Gentry and wife Sandra; daughters, Donna Collins and husband Mark, Michelle Weyant and husband Paul; grandchildren, Bryce Brown and wife Brittany, Ashley McGill, Bret Brown, Tyson Collins and wife Ashley, Chase Gentry and wife Kristen, Cody Gentry and fiancée Lindsey, Cade Gentry and girlfriend Emma; great-grandchildren, Addalyn Brown, Sophie Brown, Landry Brown, Waylon Collins, Noah Jordan, and Jonah Collins.
Pallbearers will be Paul Weyant, Mark Collins, Tyson Collins, Chase Gentry, Cody Gentry, and Cade Gentry with honorary pallbearers Bryce Brown and Bret Brown.
