Waymon "Tinker" Williams III, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Marion, Texas.
Born on October 23, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, Waymon was the son of the late Waymon Williams II and Frances Lee Williams. He was affectionately known by many nicknames - Tinker, Tinky, and Little Pat - each one a reflection of the warmth and good humor he shared with everyone who knew him.
Waymon began his lifelong career in auto repair at Kuenstler Machinery before joining the City of Universal City, where he faithfully served as a shop foreman for over 30 years. Known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and honesty, he retired after a career defined by dedication and integrity.
On July 17, 2010, Waymon married the love of his life, Brenda Williams. Together they shared a deep faith, a love for singing, and many joyful adventures. Waymon was a proud member of McQueeny Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for many years and was known for his kind heart, encouraging spirit, and genuine love for people. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a prayer, a laugh, or a helping hand. Honk Honk!
Waymon's many hobbies reflected his creative and caring nature. He loved woodworking, refurbishing classic cars, fishing, camping, and gardening. But his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who adored their "Grandpa, Gramps, and Papaw."
He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Williams; his children Casandra Ridge (Jeff), Shelley Morales (Marc), Waymon "Wade" Williams IV (Amanda), Tanya Rackley (Caleb), and Joshua McGlothlin (Crystal); his sisters Edna Lee Couch and Nancy Joyce Revill; his cherished grandchildren Aaron, Haley, Isaac, Samuel, Aden, Katlyn, Finn, Liam, and Alice; chosen family member Benjamin Dominguez; and cousins.
Waymon will be remembered for his deep love of Jesus, his loyalty, honesty, and sense of humor. He had a gift for telling jokes and pulling unforgettable pranks, but above all, he was an encourager - someone who lifted others up through prayer, laughter, and love.
Waymon's legacy of faith, love, and laughter will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Waymon's life will be held at McQueeny Baptist Church on November 7, 2025. All are welcome to join the Graveside Service and Reception to follow thereafter. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to McQueeny Baptist Church building fund in Waymon's memory, https://mcqueeneybc.breezechms.com/give/online

Hello,
I met Waymon one time. It was this year at Glen Rose, Texas for the bluegrass festival. My band, SpringStreet, and myself enjoyed visiting with this precious man after playing and leading Sunday morning worship. I don't remember the details on exactly how we got the opportunity to pray for Waymon, but we did. He told us that he wasn't likely to see us again. His faith was evident!! That's how all of us believers should be. We gathered around Waymon. I laid my hands on his shoulders and we prayed for peace upon him and his family as he was getting ready to see the Lord Jesus face-to-face. He had such a loving spirit about him and it was a joy and honor to mention his name to the Lord. I remember, when all the band had left and it was he and I, that he and I spoke about getting a new body and living in glory. I told him, that if I didn't see him again here, that I'm coming. It was a blessing to meet him and to fellowship, although just for a few minutes, with this brother in Christ! May the Lord continue to bless his family and loved ones. May the Lord continue to use the life he lived as an example of the work of the Gospel. May the Lord be glorified by his life. I know that's all he would want.
Love you brother, I'll see you when I get there.

Waymon was the most nicest and caring man. He was a wonderful man of God and music. Go rest high on that mountain. I hope to see you there with our father.
