Another year has quickly passed and I frequently remember telling Wayne, in front of Earl, at my Sister-in-Law Sharon's funeral, that this was probably the last time that we would all be together on earth.

Wayne and Earl, gentlemen to the end, lived several streets from us on Dana Avenue, as we lived on Yale Avenue. We all went to West Park Methodist Church, where my Brother Jerry met and wed their Sister, Sharon. In fact, Earl, Jerry and I (for a short time) were stationed together at Lockbourne (Rickenbacker) Air Force Base. Clara Bakenhester, the mother of Wayne, Earl and Sharon was always helping my Grandmother, Mary P. Worthen, who lived across the street on Dana Avenue, and she and my Mother always had something warm and pleasant to say to each other, rather like loving Sisters. When Mary Worthen passed, Clara took care of the Dana Avenue house and Mary's ageing Husband, Charles Allen Worthen Sr, my Grandfather, who sat in the Dana Avenue house living room for decades just waiting for Mary to walk through the front door returning from church. Charles Worthen was preceded in death by three of his four children, one of which was my Mother, Evalyn Worthen Sanford. Wayne, a patient and caring person like his Mother, and my Mother, was a very fine and honorable person, as were both Sharon and Earl, and I do think of them often. Very often. They all very much deserve to be most fondly remembered and held in the very highest esteem. May God Bless them All. Amen. Amen.

Our prayers are with you all, sorry to hear about Wayne's passing. Our mom, Helen Bakenhaster Fleming, always thought so much of her Uncle John, and spoke often of her cousins and the high-jinks they would get into when they visited. I remember Clara and John visiting Aunt Mimi's, I was in awe of Wayne and all those Bakenhaster boys. Heartfelt sympathy to you all.

Our deepest condolences. We were so sorry to hear about your loss as we only met Wayne and his daughter a few years ago at our daughters basketball game. It was nice he reached out to our family to introduce the Bakenhester side of his family. Praying for your family.

The last time I saw Wayne was at the Funeral of his sister Sharon (my Sister-in-Law) and I mentioned to both Wayne and Brother Earl that this was probably the last time we would see each other on this earth. Wayne said that was probably true, and he was correct. Our very deepest sympathy to Linda and all the rest of the family as I have known Wayne almost all of his life and he will be well remembered as a true friend, a childhood playmate on Dana Avenue, and a very good man. May Blessings be on the entire Family.
