Wayne Mitchell Bondioli, age 68, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff.
Wayne was born September 7, 1955, in Merrill, son of the late Clement and Beatrice (Peck) Bondioli. Wayne was the youngest of four children. Wayne graduated from Merrill High School with the class of 1974. After high school, he entered the workforce at Northern Door. From there, Wayne went to Weinbrenner Shoe Company. It was there that he met Judy Berndt. Wayne and Judy were married on October 4, 1980. Together, they were blessed with two sons, Jason and Jared.
In 1986, Wayne and Judy moved to the homestead where Wayne was raised. Wayne was a past member of the Central Labor Council and Merrill Jaycees, having held numerous offices. Wayne liked to hunt and fish in his younger years. He also liked spending time at the hunting shack. Wayne enjoyed word searches and playing cards, especially Cribbage and Sheepshead. He also enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. Wayne also liked making Christmas wreaths for friends and family.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Judy Bondioli of Irma; son, Jason (Randi) Bondioli of Merrill; three nephews, Rocky (Laura) Kolka of Sheboygan, Randy (Sue) Kolka of Grand Rapids, MN, and Adam Bondioli of Wausau; in-laws, Heidi (Steve) Holland of Vadnais Heights, MN, Valerie (Rodger) Luebke of Apollo Beach, FL, and Minette Berndt of Withee; special friend, Kassandra and her children, Abbigail and Brandon. Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Jared Bondioli; parents, Clem and Beatrice Bondioli; brother, Anthony Bondioli; sisters, Joanne (Ron) Kolka and Debra Bondioli; and his in-laws, Ralph and Carol Berndt and Thomas Berndt.
A celebration of Wayne's life will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the Corning Town Hall. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.taylorstinefuneralhome.com
