Wayne Brown, 91, returned to his Heavenly Father on November 29, 2025, following complications from a stroke. He was born on October 13, 1934, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ray William Brown and Lucille Eva Willis.
Wayne married his lifelong companion and eternal sweetheart, Bar Dee (Jones) Brown, on August 31, 1956, a union that has blessed generations and stands as a testament to their love and faithfulness.
Wayne worked for IBM for 25 years as a typewriter and copier technician. During his career, he received several awards for innovation and exemplary service. After taking an early retirement, he started his own company, “Fix n’ Save.” There was little he couldn’t fix, and he found great joy in solving problems and helping others repair what needed mending. Another great love in his life was serving his fellowman. Whenever a neighbor was in need, Wayne was the first to lend a helping hand. He truly lived the commandment to love your neighbor as yourself. He also served for many years assisting the Bountiful Food Bank, faithfully picking up food donations from local stores.
Wayne was always making life a pleasant place with his humorous jokes. Many times, he would share his latest joke with the family at the dinner table. Each one was funny—not only for the punchline but because it came from him in his own unique way.Wayne was devoted to serving his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. He served in many church callings throughout his life and loved blessing the lives of those he was asked to serve. His dedication to serving others was one of his greatest attributes, second only to the deep love he had for his family.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Wayne found his greatest joy in his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bar Dee, their children David Wayne Brown, Michael Ray Brown, and Stephanie (Brown) Gale, as well as ten wonderful grandchildren whom he cherished deeply.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the Bountiful 31st Ward, 585 East Center Street, Bountiful, Utah, where a viewing will be held from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow.
