Wayne Clifford Curry

Wayne Clifford Curry, 83, of Greensboro, NC, died December 12, 2025, at Moses Cone Hospital following an injury. He was born December 15, 1941, in Lexington, NC, to Clifford James Curry and Arlene Walser Curry.

Wayne graduated from West Davidson High School and High Point College. He retired as Managing Member of Curry CPA after more than 60 years as a public accountant.

Wayne had a passion for the great outdoors. He spent most of his free time hiking in the mountains with family and fly-fishing rivers from North Carolina to Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Mitchell Curry; and his sister, Sharon Curry Everhart.

Wayne is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 62 years, Gail Broadway Curry; daughters Laura Curry of Greensboro and Dr. Melissa Curry (Todd Reed) of Hendersonville, NC; sister Pamela McCoin (Roger) of Greensboro; and grandson Aiden Reed of Tallahassee, FL.

No memorial service has been announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Wayne's honor to a charity of your choice.
