Wayne Russell Eggleston

Wayne Russell Eggleston, 84, of Chesterfield County, Va., passed away at his home on November 17, 2025. Born February 19, 1941, he was the son of the late Russell Walter Eggleston and Rena Hancock Eggleston.

Mr. Eggleston graduated from Old John Marshall High School in 1959, where he was a member of John Marshall Cadet Corps Marching Band and from the Richmond Professional Institute in 1964. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1959. Mr. Eggleston was the founding partner of Smith and Eggleston, P.C. and was a Life Member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and with the Virginia Board of Accountancy for more than 50 years.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Pat Crostic Eggleston; his children, Ryan, Jason (Stephanie), and Jennifer; grandchildren, Jordan, Sylvia, Rebekah, Grant, Camilla (John), Grace, Sarah and Anna; great-grandchildren, Asher, Willow, John and Cael. He was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest son, Wayne Ross Eggleston.

He was a generous man, guided by faith, known for his professional integrity, and devoted to his family.

A life well lived.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, at 11 a.m. at Second Branch Baptist Church, 12217 Second Branch Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23838. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, at 1 p.m. at Maury cemetery.
