Edwina, you don´t know me, but Wayne and I have corresponded over the
Last couple of years, since my late husband was his coach at Morenci High School. He never mentioned any illness while messaging me, we exchanged Christmas photos, and good wishes regularly. I was always touched by the fact that he would take time to send this old lady fairly often. I remembered him from that time because Coach Vern had me to find a book for Wayne that he would like, to give to Wayne at the Banquet Wayne´s senior year. I last got a message from him at 1AM on December 26. He sent me a picture of a blue Christmas tree, saying "Edwina always wanted a Blue Christmas tree ". May God be with you! He was an exceptional man !

My sincere condolences to Edwina and Wayne's entire family. Wayne and I enjoyed discussing his Army service, military history and movies. He was a good man who strived to help others and his community. I was fortunate to work with him for over a decade. Wayne was always dependable and a great friend to me. Farewell Trooper, rest in peace!

I remember my first few days on our Sandblaaters crew at Tailings. You said you´d observe me as new crew member. I proved myself. You told me he´d have my back and would be proud to share a fox hole with me. That was a wonderful compliment to me. I still cherish that moment to this day. Farewell TD4 from TD6.
