Wayne L. King

When the sun came up Wayne was gone. September 14, 2024, Wayne L King left this world. A white dove came to us the day before, signaling it was time for Wayne to join those who had previously gone before him. It was only fitting a dove was sent. He loved birds, and he kept a glorious retreat for them in his own back yard, ensuring they were always tended to. 

Wayne was a hero to all and a true inspiration to those he crossed paths with. His reach knew no bounds, and he had a beautiful gift of blessing those around him, irrespective of language barriers. 

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents: J.L. King and Virginia Tannenberger, as well as his son: Wayne King, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Luisa King, his children, Marcy Johnson, Carlo Peck (Joanna), and James Peck (Kris), his grandchildren: Joshua Esparza, Jacob Herring, Trevor Peck, Tre King, and Shane King, as well as three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory. 

He loved his children and grandchildren deeply. But none more than his beloved wife, Luisa, with whom they shared 38 beautiful years together. They traveled and saw the world, creating a life envied by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Homes-West with a Eulogy to commence at 6:00pm.
