The world lost a fantastic man when Wayne left us. I cannot begin to thank him for all the wonderful memeories he has given me over the years. It seems like only yesterday you were picking me up at the airport and carting me around FL. I miss you alot. I know you are in a place with no pain now, and looking down on all of us.
Hugs and kisses

Pam,
Many of us are thinking of you and fondly remembering the good times and there were so many. Most recently I think of you and Wayne and how well- suited you were for each other and how adventurous you both were.
Please stop by if you are around.

Pam, my thoughts and prayers go out to you
and your family. I was so sorry to hear
of your loss. I remember all the wedding
plans and how happy you were to have found eachother. We did have some happy
times at the phone company and I remember
what a nice young man your son Rick was,
too. Take care and I'm thinking of you
and your great smile. (formerly Charlene

Though we didn't get to see Pam and Wayne real often, it was always a good time when we did. Thinking back to your wedding (that we couldn't get to) all those years ago because it was in the middle of a blizzard, (but then again, that's Maine) right up to the last time we saw you in Florida, playing Grunt and getting together with the two of you and Jerry and Brenda every day we were there on vacation, things were always TERRIFIC! We always felt welcome whenever we stopped in. The two of you have had a great journey together through the years (made for each other, you were!) so now just think of it as that you and Wayne have parted paths for a bit, but will meet up later. Wayne has just gone on ahead to get everything (including the big RV in the sky) ready for you! And we owe the biggest thanks of all to Wayne, because it was Wayne, even though we were all right there, who saw my youngest son fall off the dock at Flanders when he was about 4 and ran and pulled him out of the water, therefore, I think, saving his live, and knowing Wayne, he probably didn't even remember it! Love you both lots!

Two different emotions come to mind when i think of Wayne not being here anymore. The first is the tremendous loss of a friend, but the second is one of peace. Knowing that he is now free of all pain. For Pam, such a dear person, the thought of Wayne beside you forever, smiling and watching over you, will be a comfort, I know.
Loving thoughts to you and your family.

PAM AND FAMILY, ART AND I WERE SADDENED TO READ OF WAYNE'S PASSING. GREAT THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO HAVE 22 WONDERFUL YEARS AND WERE ABLE TO TRAVEL THE US IN THE RV TOGETHER. MEMORIES THAT CAN NOT BE TAKEN AWAY, NOT EVEN BY DEATH. PAM, I HAVE THOUGHT OF YOU AND WAYNE OFTEN AND SMILED THINKING ABOUT ALL THE FUN WE HAD TOGETHER WORKING AT THE PHONE COMPANY AND HANGING OUT IN OUR SPARE TIME. YOU ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS....

Anutie Pam and Uncle Wayne are the happiest couple you could ask for. Always a smile on both faces. Rest assured Uncle Wayne is looking down on us from his RV in the clouds wondering why we're crying because everything is "terrific". I'll always remember our little family reunions around Flander's where the RV was parked on the side of Jerry and Brenda's and Uncle Wayne would watch us (try to) play Grunt, lauging at our attempts and occasionally joining in.
Stay strong Auntie Pam. And while miles may keep us apart, You and Uncle Wayne are in my thoughts and prayers now and always. Love you both.
Love,
Michele

I did not know Wayne, but I know his children. I know Lee better than the others, but if Wayne was anything like his children, then he was a great man. I am so sorry for the loss in this family and hope that the memories will soften the loss in time. Rose (Thelma's daughter)

Uncle Wayne is certainly one of the most terrific people I have ever known. My very favorite memories of him are from when I was a little girl. Uncle Wayne and Auntie Pam always used to show up at my house in the middle of an RV trip just to say hello and go out for dinner. If it weren't for him I'd still be a shirley temple virgin! When I moved to Florida, I had no idea he and Pammy even lived here. If I hadn't had Uncle Wayne and Auntie Pam's support, I'm sure I'd be back in Connecticut.
Uncle Wayne, thank you for all the good times that we had together, I'm so lucky to have had you in my life. I will forever cherish the wonderful memories. I love and miss you so much.
Auntie Pam, you are a strong woman and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of Mr. Terrific.

Dearest Pam and family,

From your wedding day in a blinding snow storm to the days down at Flanders and visits in NH we remember you. Wayne's sense of humor and graciousness will be felt and remembered by all of us. Thank you Wayne for being there for Pam. Thank you Pam for being there for Wayne. We are so proud of both of you.

Growing up I never realized just how much Wayne was teaching me.
It seems that the older my boys are getting,I find myself reflecting back on all the times when Wayne would say "slick as that", when he would finish something or get a piece to fit after I had been trying for what seemed like hours.
Lessons in life, He taught me so many that I know He is smiling down on me, with that radiant smile and signature chuckle, saying "slick as that"
with all of my adventures as a Dad and Step-Dad.
I love you Wayne and Thank you for all the lessons

Dad's strength and love for life was an inspiration to all of us that were lucky enough to know him. I am just so proud of him and lucky enough to be his daughter and know his blood is in me too and hopefully I have some of the strength he showed us. Dad, it makes me smile when I think of you, I have a lot of great memories of you, a lot of fun times, you were such an easy going and loving man. I love you and miss you so much. I am proud you were my dad, Ann.

God looked around His garden
and He found an empty place.

He then looked down upon this earth
and He saw his tired face.

He put His arms around him
and lifted him to rest.

God's garden must be beautiful.
for He only takes the best.

He knew that he was suffering.
He knew he was in pain.

He knew that he would never
get well on earth again.

He saw that the road was getting rough
and the hills were hard to climb.

So, He closed his weary eyelids and whispered “Peace Be Thine.”

It broke your hearts to lose him
but he didn't go alone.

For part of you went with him
the day God called him home.

He left you beautiful memories.
His love is still your guide.

And though you cannot see him
he will always be by your side.

Your family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one
the chain will link again.

I met Wayne in 2005 when my daughter Kathy married Rick. This distinguished looking man with a sence of humer was very easy to get to know. I know he was such a blessing for his family. They now have a "terrific gardian angel". Pam A

Dad was a very special man in my life. I never saw such courage and inspiration. It never failed even in the hardest of times when anyone would ask "Wayne how are you?" he would answer with the most convincing "Terrific!" Well dear dad, you really are terrific! I love you so much and am sure going to miss your hugs. You will always be with me, I know you will. Thank you for being my dad
