Wayne Lee Major

In loving memory and with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne Lee Major of North Little Rock, AR. He died on September 3, 2024 at the age of 77 surrounded in love with family by his side after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born March 29, 1947 to Homer and Doris (Tullis) in Little Rock where he lived in the area all his life. Wayne proudly served his country as a member of the US Marine Reserve 1966-1972. He was a carpenter and woodworker by trade and retired from UAMS after 20+ years. In addition to being active in the community he had a passion for WW II aircraft and classic cars (like his prized 1967 Pontiac GTO). He was a founding member and former President of the Arkansas Pontiac Association.
He is survived by his adult children Michelle and Michael, his grandchildren Jordyn, Lauren, Andrew, Megan and his partner of 30 years Stacy along with many other extended family members and close friends.
The funeral will be a private service to remember Wayne in the presence of family and dear friends.
We invite all who may be moved to do something to plant a tree in his memory whether on their own or by donating to the Arbor Day Foundation.
