Wayne Lester Obituary

Wayne Richard Lester passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, in The Villages, Florida one week before his 92nd birthday. Wayne and his wife were previously from Eau Claire, Wisconsin as well as Menomonie and Wilson, Wisconsin. Wayne is an Air Force veteran having served over ten years. His occupation after the military was with the State of Wisconsin, Department of Motor Vehicles for over 25 years. Wayne is survived by his two sons, Mark (Marilyn) and James; four grandchildren, Jennifer Lester, Nathan (Darla) Lester, William (Shanda) Lester, Sarah (Terry) Ault; and ten great-grandchildren: Kylie Lester, Karena Lester, Ashton Lester, Rhya Lester, Breanna Lester, Brielle Lester, Calden Lester, Gabriel Ault, Gideon Ault, and Gentry Ault. He is also survived by other family and many special friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty of 67 years: parents; Ivan and Viva (Lilly) Lester; brothers; Stanley and Maurice Lester, grandson Mitchell Lester; and great-granddaughter, Maida Ault. A memorial service for him and his wife, Betty is tentatively planned for November 8 in Menomonie Wisconsin.
