I am so deeply saddened to learn of Wayne´s passing! I just found out about an hour ago, my wife came across a mention of his death on Facebook.
Wayne and I were very close friends in the late 1970´s through the 1980´s and had seen one another into the 1990´s. We were the best of friends for some times, seeing each other everyday and all day day long.
We had some of the best times of our life´s, hanging out together along with many of our friends. My wife, Charisse and I were both in his wedding party of his 1st. Marriage and he was in our wedding party in 1981.
Wayne was indeed a very thoughtful, fun, caring and always a great friend to everyone in our group. We always had a great time, all the time. I don´t think it´s too far to say we were like brothers. I knew his family and my family knew and loved him very much!! At one point we went apartment hunting and were going to share a place. Largely to have a place to party.
Most of the time we would just "cruised" around, listening to a lot of the J. Geils band and SouthSide Johnny. Wayne knew every word to every song.
I could not and will not ever forget Wayne, he was a big part of my life. And since I found out that he had died my mind has been filled with so many memories of our times together with our friends.
To Wayne´s wife, I never got to meet you, but it sounds like you made him very happy. I am very sorry for your loss and you have my deepest sympathy.
With much sadness, Wayne´s friend, Dean (Dino) Kresila
