Ronald Wayne Maner, known to family and friends as Wayne, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years.
Wayne was born on January 7, 1938, at Iron Post, the son of Jesse Austin Maner and Lucille Leola (Blackwell) Maner. He grew up in the Iron Post area, where he attended Iron Post Schools and later graduated from Locust Grove High School with the Class of 1956.
Throughout his life, Wayne lived in Mayes County, Oklahoma; Coyle, Oklahoma; and Redwood City, California. He worked for many years as a mechanic and in industrial maintenance with RayChem Corporation in California, where he dedicated his career until his retirement in 2004. After retiring, Wayne returned to Oklahoma and later worked at the Fertilizer Plant in Pryor.
Wayne attended the First Baptist Church in Coyle, Oklahoma, for a time, where he also shared his faith by teaching Sunday School classes for young men. He was a man who loved working with his hands and took great pride in restoring automobiles, especially old trucks. Wayne enjoyed attending car shows with his brother, Ray "Speedy" Maner, and was happiest when spending time with his family.
