Wayne Lee Morrison died at the Twin Palms Assisted Living Home in Chatsworth California on September 23rd, 2025. Dr. Morrison lived 84 of his 90 years in the Los Angeles area.

He was born on August 2nd, 1935 to George Morrison and Lorraine Helen (nee Shumate) Morrison at Queen of Angels hospital. After graduating from High School, he served in the United States Army as an intelligence analyst at Herzo base, Germany before returning to the United States to complete a Bachelors Degree at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He eventually earned a Masters degree and Doctorate of Philosophy in Education from the University of Southern California.

While at Brigham Young University, he met and Married Deon (nee Ivie) Morrison with whom he eventually had three children, Michael, Christine, and Kelan.

He returned to Los Angeles in 1962 where, aside from a brief stint as a junior college dean in Columbia California, he lived and worked as an educator for the remainder of his life.

Dr. Morrison began his career as a Junior High School Spanish teacher, and during the next 38 years worked as a counselor, vice principal, and principal, and administrator of several adult education programs.

Dr. Morrison enjoyed tending his yard, and he was active in his Veterans group, nicknamed "Herzo Survivors." In addition to his children he is survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
