LIMA -- Wayne Noah Mullenhour, 96, passed away at 9:15 a.m. on September 21, 2024, at The Springs of Lima.
Wayne was born on February 28, 1928, in Lima, Ohio, to John and Ruth (Herring) Mullenhour. On July 18, 1954, he married Anita (Poling) Mullenhour, who survives in Lima.
Wayne served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Wasp during the Korean War. He then earned a bachelor's degree from Ohio Northern University. He worked his way up from a replenisher at JJ Newberry to an assistant manager with various companies, and finally a district manager. Wayne enjoyed trains, fishing, golfing, and western movies.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Michelle "Mickey" (Stella Yin) Mullenhour and Diana (Terry) Bindschatel; daughter-in-law, Nancy Mullenhour; grandchildren: Nicole (Nick) Leonard, Ryan Bindschatel, Colin (Lexi) Bindschatel; Stephanie (David) Sheilds and Jaymie (Craig) Harrison; great-grandchildren: Carter Leonard, Wylder Leonard, Winter Leonard, Liam Bindschatel, Evelyn Bindschatel, Levi Bindschatel, Alia Harrison, Gwendalyn Harrison, and Savanna Harrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Michael Wayne Mullenhour.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
