Wayne Darrell Perry, 84, of Madisonville, TN, formerly of Moultrie, GA, passed away on

Thursday, February 26, 2026, at his residence, Windy Hill Farms, surrounded by his

family.

Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Hopewell

Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Madisonville, TN.

He was born August 6, 1941, in Moultrie, GA to the late Otis Earman "OE" Perry and

Mary Amanda West Perry and was of the Baptist faith.

Wayne worked for many years as an engineer throughout the South. He graduated from

Moultrie High School in 1959. He then obtained his Mechanical Engineering and

Industrial Engineering degrees from Southern Technical Institute, his Business

Administration degree from Oglethorpe University and he later received his MBA at

Albany State University. Wayne retired in 2015 from Moultrie Manufacturing as a Project

Manager and Developer with Wesrail.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Carolyn

(Frank) Goodman, Helen Emons, and Clinton George (Patti) Perry.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 62 years, Audrey Louise Hawkins Perry; children,

Kimberly Lea Perry Elbakidze and husband Ioseb "Soso" of Chattanooga and Zachary

Wayne Perry and wife Marci of Madisonville; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jake)

Weddington, Catherine "Katie" (James) Paul, Nicholas Elbakidze, John Andrew

Elbakidze, Zebulon "Zeb" Perry and Clinton "CJ" Perry; great-grandchildren, Colt

Weddington and Charles Paul; brother in-law Jim Emons of Ontario, CA; and multiple

nieces and nephews.

Wayne will be laid to rest by his in-laws, John and Prudie Lea Hodge Hawkins.

Arrangements have been entrusted by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home of Madisonville.
