Wayne D. Riggle, 52, of Parks Township passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. Born on January 26, 1961 in Natrona Heights he was a son of Emerson R. and Wanda J. (McLaughlin) Riggle. He was a resident of Armstrong Care, Inc., in Ford Cliff and a participant of Life Steps in Ford City. Wayne was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Bethel Township and The Boy Scouts of America. He loved model trains, bike and go-kart riding, eating out especially at McDonald's, camping and his beloved dogs, Bootsie and Ginger. He was preceded in death by his Aunt Dot. Wayne is survived by his parents; 2 sisters, Barbara J. (Jim) Hasbargen of Valparaiso, IN and Linda S. (Gary) Burkett of Parks Township. A proud uncle to niece, Arianne (David) Burnworth of Cranberry Township; 3 nephews, Shane (Chrissy) Fishel of Bethel Township, Ross Burkett of Parks Township and Craig Hasbargen of Chicago, IL; 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 12th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Avenue, Apollo. There will be additional visitation on Wednesday in the Bethel Lutheran Church, Bethel Township from 9:30 am until the time of services at 10:30. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am with Reverend April Dailey and Reverend Bob Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. The family requests memorial contributions in Wayne's memory may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 119 Bethel Church Road, Ford City PA 16226.
