Jackie and Family, our sincere condolences.
Your Wayne was on of the friendliest and more fair individuals I have met. Right from 7th grade he was one of those special individuals you wanted to hang with; always something funny to say no matter what the situation.
Wayne lives on in our hearts and memories. Your family is in our prayers and thoughts.

Dear sweet Wayne. This doesn't seem possible. We have known each other since first grade! You were always the nicest person on the planet with your quick wit and effervescent smile! The Lord must have missed you too much, but he took you away from all of us. I will miss not seeing you on my visits to Lancaster, but will always remember. My deepest sympathy to your wife and family.
With many prayers and much love.....

I got to know Wayne through him officiating our children's games, basketball especially.
Through Public address announcing and Radio with WFCO 90.9 FM, I was able to see him frequently at athletic events. He truly was a very nice and respectful man and always had a smile for our kids when they committed a foul, and he explained why they got whistled , and a smile for me and knew my name. I am so saddened by this loss, I wont see him at the games. My deepest heartfelt prayers and condolences to the Roller family. Wayne will be dearly missed.

Such a tragic and sudden loss of a good friend and great servant. Wayne always found a way to invest in others for the good. he was instrumental in assisting me with the advancement of my officiating career. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered! Psalm 116:13-19

I coached varsity volleyball for close to 30 years at Canal Winchester High School. Needless to say, I saw Wayne a great deal. I always enjoyed walking into a gym, and seeing Wayne was the official. He had a mischievous smile, yet it was warm and sincere. When given the opportunity, he would sit and chat. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a multitude of stories to share. He was always approachable and kind to the players. He would remember them game to game, and season to season.
I have so many wonderful memories from my coaching days at Canal Winchester. I want you to know, that Wayne will always be a part of those memories.

A true friend of our family for 40 plus years. What a great coach, mentor, friend. GO RC MUSIC! We were feared! Wayne made baseball fun and we loved playing for him. Wayne made Adidas cool. Who even knew what Adidas was back then??!! Johnson shoes was the place to be with Wayne.
Loved going to Cincinnati for Red's games and Wayne honking horn when we passed "Waynesville" sign.

You will be missed... give Patti a big hug for us.

We knew Wayne for many years when we lived in Lancaster. He coached our son Greg in baseball for West Side Coal. We also enjoyed him as an official in basketball in games our son Tim played. We also bought many pairs of shoes from him at Johnson's Shoe Store.. He was a wonderful person. His death is a loss to many people. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the family. Be assured he is officiating and coaching in heaven now.

Wayne was one of those anchors (if) we are fortunate to have in our lives. I can recall his warm, friendly - ever present - smile from way back in Junior High and High School, hot summers, cold winters and darn near every Class of '70 Reunion since then. And we've had a bunch! While we were never closest of buds, Wayne was always open and generous with his time. He will be missed. To Wayne's Family: our thoughts and prayers are with you. I fully expect for Wayne to be in Heaven, waiting for us with that smile...

I grew up around Wayne from being with Renee all the time. He was such a good soul and man did he make me laugh. Always delight to be around and always thoughtful. One of my favorite memories was he always took Renee and I to clippers games with his ball team. She was blessed to have him as a stepfather! Prayers and thoughts are with his family during this difficult time! Thanks for always putting a smile on my face!

Our family knew Wayne when we lived in Lancaster from 78 to 88. He was a great guy. He was our son, Ron's coach, and he did a great job with the boys. I never heard him say a harsh word at any time. He was a fun loving guy who loved sports and the kids. After having not seen him since we left Lancaster, my daughter, Robin, and I saw and talked to him at my grand daughter's Worthington volleyball game which he was referring this last fall. He remembered us, and was as amicable as always after all these years. You just couldn't know a nicer guy. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Just remember the happy times.

Sincerely, Janice, Robin and Ron Rhodes
