Wayne H. Skeen

Wayne H Skeen Age 83 of Farragut passed away Tuesday morning January 18, 2022. Dad was a proud graduate of Gibbs High School Class of 1957 where they had their dreams. He was a proud member of the Naval Reserves. Our Father was a hard-working man who loved his family and enjoyed the outdoors and working with his hands. He loved playing his guitar and now he will be able to play his beloved Gretsch again. Dad worked 48 years in the Chevrolet parts business with 8 years at Reeder Chevrolet, and 40 years at Beaty Chevrolet Co. where he retired from in 2006. Dad had many valued customers and made a countless number of friends over almost half a century in the business. He had three friends that he wanted to thank for their years of loyal friendship and the good times they had together: Jim Gaddis, Paul Sharp and Marvin Russell. You will never know how much your friendship meant. He was raised in House Mountain Baptist Church where he and his family attended and that is where our parents were married on May 2, 1959. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years and our Mother Martha Medlin Skeen, parents Ross and Louise Skeen, brothers Bobby and Jimmy Skeen. He is survived by daughter Debbie Skeen, Farragut; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Audrey Skeen, Farragut; Granddaughter and husband Jamie and Chris Cybert, Gainesville, Ga; grandson Jeb Herrin, Knoxville; Great-grandchildren Zarine Cybert, Ephram Herrin, and Alex Cybert. Sister and husband Sue and Doyle Johnson, Halls; brothers Kenneth and wife Florence Skeen, Corryton; Tim and wife Judy Skeen, Halls; sister-in-law Shirley Skeen Gervin, Halls; and many nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers Jerry Baer, Jeb Herrin, Duane Keck, William Kirk, Doyle Johnson, and Mike Miller. We as a family would like to thank the staff of 2 Montview Tower at Parkwest for their love and compassion in Dad's time of need. We will be eternally grateful. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society. A service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24 at Berry Highland West Mausoleum with Rev.
