Wayne L. Stephens, 68, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at The Ohio State University James Cancer Center. He was born on February 9, 1958, in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Carl R. and Emma Jane (Beck) Stephens.
Wayne was a God fearing man, he loved his Lord, he attended the Harbor of Hope Assembly of God. He loved playing golf with Jonathan. He was always up to doing anything with his family, they were the center of his world, he enjoyed camping, playing the guitar, and singing - which usually lead to him singing gospel songs.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Rita (Luis) Moreno.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Connie (Baker) Stephens whom he married on July 10, 1982; daughter, Crystal (Stephen) Inherst; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Caitlyn; siblings, Sara Hatcher of Barnesville, Tina Stephens of Barnesville, Charles (Leslie) Stephens of Barnesville, and Leslie (Nancy) Stephens of Barnesville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 6-9pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713. The service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00am with Pastor Dean Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Gibson's Chapel Cemetery in Barnesville.
