Wayne Edward Strauss, 78, Falls City, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026.
He was born on August 22, 1947 to Harold and Evelyn (Zentner) Strauss in Falls City, Nebraska.
Wayne spent years working various jobs as a Painter, Locator, & Park Ranger for Navajo State Park, where he served with responsibility and care.
Outside of work, Wayne found joy in a variety of interests that reflected both his creativity and his love of life. He liked wood carving, and He also enjoyed horses (Cowboy & Lakota) and dogs (Ella & Cody, and he appreciated the companionship and character they brought into his life. Painting was another interest that allowed him to express himself in a thoughtful and personal way.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Eugene Strauss.
Wayne is survived by his children, Daren and Jessica Strauss, his two grandchildren Jacob & Autum Schweers, his nephews, Scott, Troy, & Nicholas Strauss, very special neighbors Eric & Becky ZiMinski and extended family and friends.
