Wayne Suchomski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Campagna Funeral Home - Nashville on Mar. 29, 2026.
Mr. Wayne A. Suchomski, a lifetime farmer, passed away on his family farm in Todds Mill, IL, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 7:55 A.M. He had attained the age of 66 years.

Wayne was born on March 27, 1960, the son of David and Dorothy (nee Wagner) Suchomski of Todds Mill, IL. He was united in marriage to Sandra Kachuba on June 11, 1983, and she survives his passing.

Wayne was raised on the same family farm he would spend his life tending. From an early age, he learned the value of hard work, patience, and respect for the rhythms of nature – lessons he carried with the quiet pride throughout his years. Farming was not just a livelihood, but his calling. Whether at sunrise in the fields or repairing equipment late into the evening, he was a devout farmer, mechanic and family man. He worked many years as a mechanic at various factories over his career, before retiring to full-time farming. Wayne was a devout member of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Todds Mill, he loved fishing, hunting, target practicing, helping his neighbors and spending Sunday dinners with his family.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 42 years, Sandy Suchomski of Pinckneyville; 2 sons, Jason (Danielle) Suchomski and Michael (Carrie) Suchomski; 4 grandchildren, Trey Suchomski, Sadie Suchomski, Nolan Alvis and Ryker Suchomski; 7 siblings, Marilyn (Scott) Haberl, Shirley (John) Kissell, Helen Starkweather, Jean Suchomski, Leo Suchomski, Edward Suchomski and Lucille Suchomski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Pauline Suchomski; father and mother-in-law, Sylvester and Delores Kachuba and brother-in-law, Sylvester Kachuba, Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill, IL on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 10 A.M. with Fr. John Igwe officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Tuesday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 8 A.M. until 9:15 A.M.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the St. Mary Magdalen Endowment Fund, St. Mary Cemetery Fund or Pinckneyville FFA Organization and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
