Wayne Tolson Obituary
Wayne was born in Fairfax County, Virginia and came to live in the Crescent City area forty-eight years ago. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was the owner/operator of Tolson Tile for over forty years. He enjoyed collecting train sets, he was a devout Elvis Presley fan, he liked vegetable gardening, raising rabbits and he loved animals in general.
Mr. Tolson is survived by his sons, James Tolson of Crescent City and Douglas (Deeanna) Tolson of Georgia; daughters, Brenda (Donnie) Aaron and Gloria Moore (Mike Lowery); foster daughter, Lynda Pomeroy; a sister, Joyce Bolton; grandchildren, Paul Aaron, Amanda (Sam) Carter, Logan Moore, Connor Antones, Douglas (Robyn) Tolson, II, Stephanie Tolson, Kevin Tolson, Jamie Tolson, Trent White and Kasey White as well as ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Tolson, his mother Vola Mae Tolson and father Claude E Tolson.
Mr. Tolson's family will receive guests for visitation from 3:00 – 4:00 P.M. on Monday, November 14th at the funeral home. Funeral service will take place immediately after the visitation with his son, Reverend Douglas Tolson officiating services. He will be buried in Woodbine Cemetery in Canova, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
