A Celebration of Life for Anna "Waynette" Listak, age 86, of Lahoma, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, with Pastor Kenneth Wade and Pastor Randy Foote officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Lahoma, Oklahoma, under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, October 22nd at the funeral home.
Waynette was born July 21, 1939, the second of 13 children, in Dallas, Texas, to Wayne and Cora (Dockins) Lindsey, and passed away peacefully Thursday, October 16, 2025, at her home in Lahoma.
She grew up in Dallas, Texas. As a youngster, she helped her mother care for and raise her younger siblings. Waynette married Jerry Listak, Sr., on April 15, 1960, in Dallas, Texas. They celebrated 61 years together prior to his passing away in 2021. Together, they shared the responsibility of raising eight children. Waynette worked as a waitress, and manager and owner of Waynette's Café and Recreation in Ringwood. Later in life, she put herself through barber college and had her own barber shop, Harmony's Cut and Curl, in Lahoma for several years. She worked at Hope Outreach for 10 years before finally retiring. She enjoyed being with her family and spending time with her fur babies.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry Listak, Sr., son, Jerry Listak, Jr., two daughters, Waynell Goodnight and Ginger Willson. Eight of her siblings preceded her in death. She is survived by five daughters, Jodell Vodry, of Mustang, Renee Listak-Coaly and husband Jay, of Lahoma, Christal Skulborstad of New Caney, TX, Tammara Shroyer, of Lahoma, Terrie Turner and husband Robert, of Yukon, OK; as well as eighteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and many friends. Her fur babies, Corena, Freckles, Casper, Piper, Echo and Ditto also survive her.
Memorial contributions in Waynette's name may be made to Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
