On August 4, 2025, identical twin sons Wells Warren McLendon and Shepard Thomas McLendon were born into the arms of their loving family. Though they were born still, they entered this world deeply cherished and will be forever remembered as precious gifts whose presence, though brief, has left an everlasting mark on the hearts of those who love them.

Wells and Shepard are the beloved sons of Hunter Warren McLendon and Emily Wallace Gray, and treasured younger brothers of Vivienne Kate McLendon. They are also the adored grandsons of Thomas Louis Gray and Donna Wallace Gray, and Michael Warren McLendon and Vickey Blythe McLendon. They are survived by their uncles Dylan Thomas Gray, Davis Collin Gray, and Sadler Davis McLendon (Lauren), along with many extended family members who longed for them and will hold their memory close.

Though Wells and Shepard's lives were brief, they brought with them a depth of love that will remain woven into the story of their family. They are remembered not for the length of their days, but for the beauty of their existence and the love they inspired.

Their family finds comfort in knowing they will always be together, and always be part of them.

"We carried you every second of your lives, and we will love you for every second of ours."
