Bill Johnson 80 of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday May 3,2012. Bill was born April 6,1932 in Echos Ky to Robert Johnson and Pearl Saling Johnson. Bill worked in Maintenance for Warren Twp School District for 32 years and was also a member of Cross Roads Baptist Temple. One of Bills favorite things to do was to go to Hardees for breakfast and meet with his friends and chit chat. Bill is survived by his wife Annie Jo Johnson and daughter Diann Melling (Lewis); brother Larry (Paulette) Johnson; sisters Opal Smith, Elizabeth (Jackie) Durall, Bonnie (Delmar)Jackson and Alice Wooten; 7 grandchildren Kelly, Lee, Heather, Ashley, Jennifer and Justin & Josh ; 6 great grandchildren. Preceeded in death by his parents; His wife of 48 years Evelyn Piper Johnson; brothers Winfred "toon" and George Johnson; sisters Lorine Hendricks and Betty Nelson.

I just wanted to say what a great man and a great family you all are. I was welcomed as little girl many years ago into your home and it left me with a big smile everytime I have thought about the times I got to visit. My father, Luther Brown, who passed away years ago,help me take roosters I had rescued to your farm. I will always remember the kindness shown from Mr Johnson and that friendship they had close to my heart. I am so sorry for your loss....he is up with my dad watching over us all.
