Bret Jenkins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home on Dec. 29, 2024.
Bret Carlos Jenkins, 65, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024.
Bret was born on March 12, 1959, to Gene Jenkins and Betty Jane Mackelprang. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, known for his adventurous spirit, warm heart, and unwavering love for his family.
Bret is survived by his devoted wife, Angie; children, Bret Jr. (Danielle), Cherie (Trent), Tara (Ian), Kash, Dylan, and Cooper; ten cherished grandchildren, Ila, Nixon, Ever, Seth, Kate, Arden, Cora, Carver, Claire, and Lenox; siblings, Eugene, Joseph, Molly, Paula, Cassie, and Ivy; and many brothers-and sisters-in-law; as well as nieces and nephews too numerous to count. He is also survived by his mother, Betty Jane Mackelprang and her husband, Romel; as well as his father, Gene Jenkins. Bret was preceded in death by his stepfather, Basil Fairchild; and his beloved grandmother.
Bret's last words were simply, "I love you," a testament to the depth of his affection and devotion to those he held dear. He always found ways to make his children feel loved and special, and his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and guide them.
Bret was a man of many passions. He loved the great outdoors, he was often found camping, ATVing, riding his motorcycle, or horseback riding with his loved ones. His skill for Dutch oven cooking was unmatched, and he was always eager to share a meal or lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Above all, Bret cherished time spent with his family, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. January 11, 2025, at 3300 N Buffalo Dr, Las Vegas, Nevada.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Basin Cemetery, in Oakley, Idaho, with military rites performed by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Group.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the graveside service, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.
