Wendell Orm
October 3, 1940 to January 18, 2024
Wendell Orm, age 83 of Onaway, Michigan peacefully left us on January 18, 2024. He is survived by his sons, James (Karen) Orm, Jerry (Sandy) Orm, daughter, Cheri (Larry) Eggett; grandchildren, James, Timothy, Sandra, Derek, Dakota, David, and Julia; siblings, Ted (Lolly) Orm, and Elaine (Gordon) Hafner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty.
Wendell grew up in Hillman, Michigan thoroughly enjoying the hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities offered here. He was a Navy veteran and former police officer of Montmorency County.
Wendell was proud of his high school sports accomplishments and most recently became the founder of the Hillman High School Sports Hall of Fame. He took great pleasure in the recognition of the outstanding athletes past and present.
Plans are being made for a graveside service and memorial in the Spring and will be announced in the near future.
