Wendell Corey Still

Wendell C Still, 62 of Texarkana, Texas died on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at his residence.

Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, October 4th at 2:00 P.M. at Lonoke Baptist Church 1841 Lonoke Ave - Texarkana, AR

Visitation: Friday October 3rd from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Mortuary 7238 W 7th Street - Texarkana, TX

Wendell "Sugar" Still was born May 24, 1963 in Ashdown, AR. to the parentage of Ms. Eurgene Still-Taylor and the late Ezekiel Still. He attended and graduated from the Ashdown Public School System in 1981. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Wendell was an active young man, working at various jobs while attending high school. He later took a job at Cooper Tire (now Goodyear) where he worked for forty plus years before retiring.

As a young man, Wendell was always interested in cars. He was an active member of the BBC Club. He enjoyed caring for his older and antique cars (his Trans-Am, Nissan 300, Ford Galaxy convertible, and other antique cars).

Sugar loved his family especially his mother, children, and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ezekiel Still, his stepfather, Raymond Taylor and his grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother- Jean Still-Taylor; his son-Demetri (DC) Fricks; his daughter-Dorian Cox-Still; brothers-Reginald Still, Gantry Green, Marcus Burris and MarKevin Green, his sisters- Jackie Martin, Phyllis Young, Olyvia Bennett, Natasha Starks, Sylonda Burris, Connie Burris, Rosharon Turner, Denise King and Sheryl Taylor; his grandchildren- Daja Fricks, Demari Fricks and London Fricks and one great-grandson-Derrick Haywood; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
