Wendy Henry Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 3, 2026.
Wendy S. Henry, born on June 1, 1954, in Rochester, NY, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 71.

Wendy spent her life devoted to her family, always ensuring that her home was filled with love and laughter. As a homemaker, she created a nurturing environment where everyone felt welcome. Her career path was diverse, including roles as a waitress and mushroom farmer, but her heart was always at home with her family.

She had a passion for crafting, especially crocheting, and was known for her unique creations, never making the same thing twice. Her crochet dolls were cherished by all who received them. Wendy also enjoyed watching horror flicks with her son, accompanied by their favorite snack of Ruffles with French onion dip.

Wendy had a good sense of humor and was down to earth, always ready to try new things. She loved Pepsi and was famously anti-Coca-Cola. Her style was impeccable, and she looked good in everything she wore. Her husband, James R. Henry, fondly remembered how they met-he admired the way the pockets on her jeans looked, and she was drawn to his motorcycle. They married on March 23, 1972, in Dothan, AL, and shared 54 wonderful years together.

Preceded in death by her parents, Anthony George Santillo and Edith Margaret Coons Santillo; her brothers, Tony Santillo and Frank Santillo; her sister, Jean Riner; and her beloved dogs, Shiloh and Jit, Wendy leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.

She is survived by her devoted husband, James R. Henry; her loving son, Jim Henry; her cherished grandson, Zachary James Henry, and his partner Jenny; her adored great-grandson, Elliot Henry; her brother, Eddie Santillo; her sister, Edie Ornt; her faithful dog, Milo; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Wendy's spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the moments shared with her.
