Wendy Winkelmann, 62, of Wild Rose, lost her short battle with Cancer on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at ThedaCare Appleton, while holding her daughter Tamie's hand.
She was born on July 23, 1960 in Waukesha, WI, to Kenneth and Beverly (Holtz) Rindt. Wendy graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School in 1978 and later earned an Associates degree in Nursing from Mid-state Technical College in 1995. Wendy married Lawrence Winkelmann on December 11, 1982 and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2011.
In her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding with her best friend, Guy. She and Lawrence raised their two daughters on a hobby farm where they raised pigs, horses, goats, rabbits and chickens. She raised two beautiful daughters, was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She touched the lives of all those around her.
Wendy is survived by her daughter Tamie (Tyler) Smith, of Wild Rose; her Grandchildren Amelia and Bailey Gray, Seeley, August, Hunter and Megan Smith; Her sister Debra (Rick) Stamm, of MN and Her brother Jeffery (Jill) Rindt, of MN.
