Werner Edward Scherr

Passed away peacefully at home to God in the company of his loving wife of 57 years, Sharon (nee Wesela) Scherr. Dedicated father of Werner Erich Scherr and Edward Austin (Molly) Scherr. Proud Opa of Cecilia Scherr and Isaiah, Dominic and Bella Voiland. Further survived by many life-long and new friends.

Werner graduated from Marquette law School in 1961, and served his country as a Captain in the Air Force JAG for 4 years stationed in Germany. He was a practicing trial attorney for 65 years, with an AV Preeminent Peer Rating. Werner saw himself as a "Renaissance Man" as a farm remodeler/cottage builder, cook and patron of the arts. He grew up a "playground basketball player", speed skater and a violinist in the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra which lead to his family's appreciation of the arts. Later in life Werner joined the Schwaben Männerchor and served as president for many years. Werner was an animal lover and had many wonderful and well behaved dogs in his life. He was a lifelong fisherman, hunter, handball player, downhill skier and water skier. Active to the end, while fighting cancer, he enjoyed paddle boating with Sharon and had their last Rhumba in June 2025.

Visitation SUNDAY, February 22, 2026 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 4850 S Lake Dr, Cudahy from 2-4 PM. Funeral service at 4 PM. Private interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
