Horace Wesley "Wes" Huffman, Jr., age 71, husband of Joan (Metcalfe) Huffman, of Harrodsburg, KY died Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born October 7, 1953 in Danville, KY, to Horace Wesley Huffman Sr. and the late Ruth (Lay) Huffman. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and a retired skilled technician with AT&T, where his dedication and work ethic were well known and respected.
Wes embraced life with a love for the outdoors and adventure. Whether he was out on Lake Cumberland boating, enjoying motor sports of any kind, or trail riding with friends. Wes was always happiest when surrounded by the people and things he loved. Above all else, he cherished being "Bapaw" to his grandson Sawyer, and his family. These were roles that brought him immense pride and joy. Wes was a devoted family man, a hard worker, and a friend to so many.
He is survived by his wife: Joan Huffman and one daughter: Leslie Anne (Nathan) Mayes; one grandchild: Sawyer Lee Mayes; his father: Horace Wesley Huffman Sr. one sister: Lona (Wesley) West; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother; Ruth (Lay) Huffman.
The funeral will be held Monday September 15, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Andrew Catholic Church with Father Edwin Netlas officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm Sunday September 14, 2025 and 9am-11am on Monday, September 15th at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Pallbearers: Nathan Mayes, Nathan Spigle, Gentry Spigle, Lance Blanford, Vince Metcalfe, and Stewart Rust.
Memorials may be made to St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1125 Danville Road, Harrodsburg KY 40330.
