I will always think about you, and wonder where you are; look out over me from up among the stars.
Wesley Ball, age 81, of Brookville, Indiana transitioned peacefully during the early morning hours of October 16, 2025. He was at the home he shared with his wife, Ann. His death resulted from complications related to pancreatic cancer.
Born May 26, 1944, in Franklin County, Indiana, he was one of eight children born to the late Joshua & Ellen (Houston Ball. Wesley and Ann were wed June 19, 1980, in Klemmes Corner.
He spent over 30 years at the former Sperry Rice in Brookville before retiring as Plastics Manager. Wes drove for Beckman Brothers, collecting bulk milk from local dairy farms. He had also worked for a time as a USDA inspector in Wisconsin.
Wesley enjoyed his coffee, watching old westerns, and tinkering with Louie, his 1955 Chevy. He worked hard to provide for his family and loved unconditionally. He enjoyed spending time with family & friends, but his greatest joy came from being with those who called him 'Pappy'.
Besides Ann, his wife of over 45 years, he leaves their children, Edward Aynsley & Susan (Race) Ball; Matthew Dylan Ball; grands Joshua & Elizabeth Ball, and Tally, his canine pal.
Wesley is also survived by children Carey (Lisa) Ball, Nick (Ginger) Ball, Leanna (Darel) Cooper and their families; sisters Brenda (Clete) Martin and Juanita Linkel; sister-in-law, Debbie Webber and many extended family members.
Those who have gone on before include his parents, siblings, Kenny, Donnie, Charlie, Lorene and Willie; Ann's parents, Edward & Jean Kuehn, brothers-in-law, Charles Kuehn, Dave Henson, John Linkel, Johnny Webber.
Cremation was chosen by Wesley, with no public services to be held.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Franklin County Antique Machinery Club or the Brookville Volunteer Fire Department
Wesley is dearly missed by all who loved him, especially Ann. She just wishes he would have appreciated her rocks a bit more!
