Wesley Blanton Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home - Dayton on Jul. 28, 2022.
BLANTON, Wesley "Boomer", age 46 of West Carrollton, OH passed away on 07/26/2022 as a result of a tragic work related accident.
Wesley was born in Charlotte, NC to Wanda and Thomas Blanton on July 25,1976.
One his proudest achievements in life, was his time serving in the Army Infantry for the Country he so loved. He was exceptionally proud to be an American which was apparent to everyone who knew him. After several years working in the Healthcare profession as a Nurse he transitioned into the field of industrial labor. Wesley found himself working at the steel mill, which he instantly had a love for. He loved working there not only for the job at hand but also with the slew of amazing new coworkers whom quickly became family. He completed his maintenance certification while working at the mill, just a few short months prior to the accident. He was an industrious worker and really enjoyed going to work and learning new skills, whether it was a new DIY project or how to prepare a new recipe; it brought him a lot of joy. Wesley was a proud father of 5 children and seeing each of their personalities bloom into the young men and women we know today brought him great joy. He loved them with all of his heart and spending time with them was one of his favorite things to do. Whether that was a few minutes, seconds, or a long weekend. Their time was precious and memorable and meant the world to him, they were the center of his universe. He enjoyed going on vacations to the beach, lake, boating, fishing, barbecuing, and gardening. He loved being outside enjoying nature, it was never too hot or too rainy for him, as long as it wasn't snowing because he wasn't too fond of that.
Wesley was loved by many and left a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with. His love, brash humor, inappropriate jokes, and obsession with doing the dishes will never be forgotten. He was very generous man with a heart of gold, who would give you the shirt off of his back without question, even if he needed it for himself.
Wesley is survived by his wife Ashley Blanton, three sons Austin Blanton, Joey Blanton, and Charlie Blanton, daughter Lacey Blanton, and step-daughter: Amethyst Fierro. Grandchildren Amirah, Braxton, Maverick and Jameson, mother Wanda (JJ) Graham, father Tom Blanton & Tami Morales, brother Brandon Jenkins, grandmother Patricia Hart, aunt Jennifer Ackerman, uncles Dennis Potts, Randy (Terri) Blanton, Bob (Janet) Blanton, cousins Crystal (Michael) Craft, Aleesha (Michael) Collins, Karen (Brad) Sellers, step-sisters Shannan (Dustin) Thompson, Erica (Matthew) Moody, Desire (Stephen) Wentworth as well as multiple other cousins.
Wesley is preceded in death by his grandfather Charlie Blanton, grandmother Betty Blanton, and uncle Ed Blanton.
