Wesley Canfield

Wesley was my room-mate first year of medical school at Upstate in 1972. Our paths did not cross since graduation. I am compelled to write this, as Wes, just being Wes, had a lasting impression on me and made me a better person. You all know why. My condolences to the family.

Wes was a kind and compassionate physician who was committed to improving the lives of others.....especially, correctional institution inmates and the entire diabetes community. Thank you for the many contributions to endocrine research and medical science. Wes shared a passion for the Adirondacks and Raquette Lake. He will be missed.

As a classmate and close friend during our years at Clinton Central, it is difficult to put into words the emotions I feel on the news of his passing. My sincere condolences to everyone in his family at this saddest of times.
