Wesley Clayre Duff, 70, of Fowler, Ohio, died on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at The Manor at Autumn Hills in Niles after a long battle with Parkinson's disease and cancer. He was born on July 21, 1945, and was the son of the late Craig Wesley and Lillian Mae (Weaver) Duff. He was raised in Fowler and graduated from Fowler High School in 1963. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War Era and received the Good Conduct Medal along with a National Service Defense Medal. Following his discharge, Wesley lived in California until 1972. He then returned to Ohio and worked at WCI Steel as a millwright in the USWA Local 1375, until he retired in 2006. Throughout his life, Wesley was an active member of the Fowler United Methodist Church and served as a trustee as well as a representative at the United Methodist Annual Conference for ten years. Some of his contributions included creating games for the youth group children, handyman repairs and assisting in the rebuild of the church altar in 1998. Wesley is survived by his wife of 41 years, Norma (Alm) Duff. He also leaves behind daughters, Angelia Roy, Dawn (Brian) Piotrowski, and Marissa (Brian) Lucas; his loving grandchildren, Alison Dunbar, Sierra Roy, Chase Roy, Jasmine Lucas, Samantha Piotrowski and great-granddaughter Aryanna Dunbar. He is also is survived by his siblings, Audrey (Eduardo) Salgado, Willard Duff, John (Rosalia) Duff and sister-in-law Arlene Duff. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Robert Wesley Lucas. Friends and family may call from 11 am to noon on Friday, October 2, 2015, at Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 State Route 193, Fowler, OH 44418. Funeral Services will begin promptly at noon with interment to follow at Dugan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please forward donations to Fowler United Methodist Church in honor of their 200th Anniversary Celebration.
