Mr. Wesley Vernon Gibbs Jr.

Hawthorn Funeral Home announces the passing of Mr. Wesley Vernon Gibbs, Jr. 57 of Carthage, Texas. Mr. Gibbs died November 2, 2025, at his Carthage, Texas home. Wesley was born April 19, 1968, in Dallas, Texas to Betty Mitchell and Wesley Vernon Gibbs, Sr. He was raised and schooled in Carthage, Texas. He grew up hunting and fishing, loving the outdoors and riding the roads.
Mr. Gibbs worked as a delivery driver throughout his career. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Barry Gibbs.
Mr. Gibbs is survived by his sons, Jonathan Gibbs of Carthage, Thaddeous Anthony Gibbs of Overton; brother, Randy Gibbs of Lufkin; sister, Jennifer Oliver and husband Jason of Waco; Aunt Jeena Burleson of Carthage, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hawthorn Funeral Home.
