Weston McCabe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel - Bonham on Feb. 5, 2026.
Weston Everette McCabe was born on January 18, 2026, and passed away on January 31, 2026, at Medical City of McKinney Hospital. In his short but meaningful life, Weston knew only love-pure, constant, and surrounding him every moment he was here.

Weston was an incredibly strong-spirited little boy. From the very beginning, he showed a quiet resilience and a gentle presence that drew people to him. He was comforted by the familiar sounds of home: house music playing softly, his dad's voice speaking to him, and the warmth of his mom's cuddles. In those moments, he was at peace, held tightly by the love that defined his life.

Though his time was brief, Weston left a lasting mark on everyone who met him. He quickly captured the hearts of the Medical City of McKinney NICU staff, who cared for him with extraordinary compassion, tenderness, and respect. Our family will forever be grateful for the love they poured into Weston and the care they showed him every single day.

Weston's life, though short, was full. He was deeply loved and will always be remembered by his parents, Madison Pryor and Benjamin McCabe; his big brothers, Grayson McCabe and Benjamin McCabe Jr.; and his grandparents, Sharon McCabe and Barry McCabe. He is also cherished by his aunts and uncles-Melodi and Jeff Nix, McKenzie and Matthew Rogers, and Lori and Jacob McCabe-along with many extended family members who will carry his memory forever in their hearts.

He was welcomed into heaven by his grandparents David Watson, Tina Pryor, and Cliff Pryor, as well as many great-grandparents and loved ones who went before him and now hold him close.

Though Weston's days were few, the love he gave and received was immense. He will always be his parents' son, his brothers' little brother, and a light that will never fade from the hearts of those who loved him.

Held by Heaven

For just a breath of borrowed time, God placed your son within your arms.

Two precious weeks-yet fully known, A life so small, a love so strong.

Before his cry, before his pain, The Lord had written out his days.

"Fearfully, wonderfully made,"

And safely held when he was laid.

Jesus said,

, "Let children come,"

And heaven opened, one by one.

So though your heart is torn in two, Your child now rests where all is new.

No tears, no hurt, no hospital room-Just perfect peace and endless bloom.

Until the day you meet again,

May God be near, your strength, your friend.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)
