Whitney LaRae Horse

Whitney LaRae "Minnie" Rides Horse, gained her wings on August 7, 2025. She was born on June 7, 1989, in Crow Agency. daughter of Robert "Hoss" and Alberta Rides Horse, Sr. Her Indian name was "Bia Bacheeitche" Woman Chosen To Lead, given to her by the late Madam Chairwoman her grandma Clara White Hip. She was member of the Newly Made Lodge and Child of Newly Made Lodge. Minnie was raised in the Lodge Grass and Wyola areas. She attended Wyola and Lodge Grass schools, graduating in 2007. While in high school she was a manager for the Lodge Grass Boys basketball team. Graduating with associates in early childhood at LBHC. Minnie worked for Crow Tribe Head start and was in home childcare provider.

Minnie's daughter Sierra, which she loved dearly, was her pride and joy. She also raised McKennon Takes Horse, and Zander Caplett as her own. Children Minnie babysat and loved KJ Big Hail, Macey Takes Enemy, Zackeus Bear Crane, Kayen Blaine, Aviana Skunkcap, and Kamari Christian.

Minnie loved to cook making home cooked meals for her parents and siblings. She was often called to make her bread and her pies for family get togethers, she never told them no, and was always willingly to help.

Her mother, sister Tanisha, grandparents Henry and Ada Rides Horse, Mary Beth Laforge, Aloyious Caplett, great grandparents Frances and Mary LaForge, Paddy Ryan and Lola Iron Caplett, nephew Tret Takes Horse, niece TaShon Little Light, and friend Buster Gardner, Jr. preceded Minnie in death.

Survivors include her daughter Sierra, Parents Robert and Mary Rides Horse, God mother Shonna Dillon, God father Harold (Linda) Rides Horse, Adopted children McKennon and Zander. Brothers Robert "CJ" (Rachel), Richard (Lucretia), Allen, Martin, and Frank (Braylee), Tiger (Fray), Stephen, Wilson, Randall, Robin (Tonya), Sid, Harold "Fatman", Adriano, Desmond, Raphael (Violet), Neil (Sandy), Garey (Rochelle), Cyrus "Sonny", Cleveland, Dillard, Benjamin and Billy Cummins.
