Wilbert Kurt Bostelman, 87, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024.
He was born at home in Freedom Township to the late Theodore and Alma (Damman) Bostelman. On Nov. 7, 1959, Wilbert married Ida Louise Young at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, where he was a trustee for many years. Wilbert was a hardworking family man, loving and supporting father who provided for his family while working as a bricklayer and farmer during his life.
While always working, he always had time to watch his New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Wilbert and Ida were proud Napoleon High School Football and Basketball season ticket holders. His children also kept him busy building different 4-H Projects and he was always willing to help.
Wilbert is survived by his loving wife of 65 years; children, Julie (Jeff) Krider, Dr. Mark (Amy Koontz) Bostelman and Lisa (James) Hammer; grandchildren, Marina (Edward Wennerberg) Bostelman, Melanie Bostelman, Maxwell Bostelman, Robert Hammer, Elizabeth Hammer and Sebastian Hammer; sister, Frances Behrman; and sister-in-law, Margery Bostelman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Bostelman; brother-in-law, Raymond Behrman; and daughter-in-law, Mary Bostelman.
Friends and family will be received at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon.
Memorial Contributions can be made out to St. Paul Lutheran Church and St. Paul Lutheran School.
