Wilbert Carmichael Obituary

Wilbert loved spending time with his family, going drag racing and cooking a good meal. He was a loving husband, a caring father, supportive to his family and a very dedicated hard worker. He worked for Newton Instrument Company in Butner for many years. Mr. Carmichael was a member of Longhurst United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his three children: Cristi Carmichael Coleman (Larry) of Durham, Wendall Carmichael (Amy) of Cedar Grove and Clayborn "Clay" Carmichael (Tara) of Roxboro; two siblings: Roger Lee Carmichael (Libby) and Shelby Jean Smith (R.B.) all of Roxboro; six grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2 PM Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Brooks & White Chapel with the Rev. John Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (1-2 PM).
Memorials may be made to Duke HomeCare and Hospice, 4023 N. Roxboro Road, Durham, NC 27704.
