Wilberto “Willy” Lopez Guerrero, 46, of Eagle Mountain, Utah, returned to his Heavenly Father on October 22, 2025.

Willy was born on July 15, 1979, in Hollister, California, and raised in Quincy, Washington. A man of quiet faith, he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served honorably in the New York, New York South Mission—an experience that shaped his life in countless ways. There, he met his eternal companion, Kelly, who would become his beloved wife and the mother of their beautiful children. In 2005, Willy & Kelly were sealed for time & all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple with their children—a cherished covenant that brought him great peace and joy.

Since 2007, Willy has worked with Intermountain Health in several roles, where his dedication, dependability, and kindness have touched the lives of his coworkers and patients alike.

Willy had a lifelong love of sports. During his school years, he excelled in baseball, basketball, and football, earning many accolades and friendships along the way. His competitive spirit, teamwork, and love for the game stayed with him throughout his life.

Family was at the very center of Willy’s world. He is survived by his loving wife, Kelly, and their cherished children, Katelynn-Marie and Kiefer. He is also survived by his parents and four brothers, who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Willy’s love for family extended beyond his own home. He lovingly cared for both his parents and his mother and father-in-law, always making sure their needs were met and including them in family travel plans whenever possible. His selflessness and sense of responsibility were among his greatest gifts.

He was a man of quiet strength and deep faith—Christianity personified. His love for Heavenly Father and for others was evident in all he did. He found joy in the simple, beautiful parts of life—family trips to see the fall colors in the Utah mountains, projects around the house inspired by Kelly’s ideas, and creating something delicious out of nothing in the kitchen.

As his brother Arturo shared, “Willy had a great big heart for life and people. He was patient, loving, understanding, kind, a good listener, and always in the service of helping others become better people.”

To know Willy was to feel loved, seen, and uplifted. He went above and beyond to care for his family, friends, and everyone who crossed his path. His legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to bless all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah 84121.
