As a volunteer at Cottage Hill Baptist Church, I delivered Ms. Gilbert's lunch every Wednesday and always enjoyed seeing her artwork and hearing about the new children's book she was working on. When my two grandsons were here from Birmingham I took them by to meet her and could tell she really enjoyed it. She loved children and was such a sweet lady. I will miss her.

Wilda was on our Meals-on-Wheels route. She always invited us in to chat for a while and we learned a lot about her current art/book projects and her three adopted children. Wilda couldn't eat a lot and always saved her rolls for us so they wouldn't get thrown away. They made great bread pudding or got shared with her neighbors. Ernie and a friend went to Winchester to see all the places she had talked about and he got to share that with her and show her pictures several weeks ago. We loved talking to Wilda and hearing about her enthusiasm for life and especially her daughter and grandchilden in Colorado! She was so proud of them! We'll miss seeing her but happy that she's with Jesus now, has a new body and is enjoying all the beauty and joy in heaven. Ernie and Sandy
