Mr. Wiley Plato Faircloth, 81 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, officiating will be Rev. Tommy Honeycutt. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery in Autryville.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Plato is preceded in death by his parents, Irving Chic Faircloth and Lena Bell Fann Faircloth; wife, Joyce Ann Faircloth; grandson, Derek Faircloth; siblings, Esco Faircloth, Marian Joyce Autry, Audrey Walker, Swannie Bell Jones, and Elizabeth Von Archiga; son-in-law, Frankie Bullard; and brother-in-law, Melvin Arthur Haire, Jr.
Plato worked in maintenance for the town of Autryville for many years before retiring. Plato loved fishing, farming, tractors and he especially loved his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, David Faircloth & wife, Stacey, Lisa Faircloth Spann & husband, Robert Earl Spann, and Sharon Faircloth Bullard; grandchildren, John Travis Williams, Jr. and Brandon Sessoms; and great grandchild, Harley Norris.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, NC 28391.
