In his younger years, He received his education at Servite High School while serving the Catholic faith as an alter boy. He went on to become a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus in his adult life and a paragon of honor and virtue amongst his peers.
For those who knew him, he was energetic and excitable, and his life reflected that. He spent over 3 years of his youth growing up in Germany on his family's farm and learned the art of Schuhplattler from his extended family there, going on to join numerous traditional German dance groups in the US, Most recently, Die Gemütlichen Schuhplattler, a dance group founded by his father, who toured the country preforming at many events and festivals. Their most famous performance was at the 1984 Olympics held at Los Angelos, California. He was an ambassador for his heritage and shared his passion for dance with many people across the country.
When he wasn't dancing or partying, he traveled the world for his work as a lead in computer programming and sales for ASNA and IBM during the early stages of commercial computer development, and his expertise in the field drove development for computer systems that drove production in large factories for businesses like "Campbell soup"
He leaves behind memories of an honorable, virtuous man who lobed to enjoy life, and was devoted to his family and faith. Other than dancing and traveling, he loved music, reading, and good food. In his later years, he endured great struggles with his health in order to ensure his family was taken care of in his passing.
He is proceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Barbra Hemm, his brother Emanuel Sargis, and his sister Rosemary Hemm
He is survived by his wife, Leasa, his son, Nicholas Anton Hemm along with his wife Josayn, Grandchildren Reagan, River and Alexia; his son Matthew Christan Hemm, and his son Tristan Chandler Hemm. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Melissa Toland and her husband Bobby, grandchildren Corey, Noel, Dovie, Mary Hays, Lilah Mae, and Eloise, his stepson, Michael Cline and his wife Traci. grandchildren Waylon, Wyatt, Lillie, Laurel, and Leia. He also has two surviving sisters, Anna Hemm and Ingrid Sargis.
