Will Walker

Will Walker short in stature but a giant among men. Will had the natural ability to put everyone at ease and to feel valued. We shared experiences gathering wild oysters on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and roasting the at his home. RIP, my friend.

Thank you Mr. Will for all that you did for the animals. Your legacy will continue to live on in all of the human and non human lives you´ve touched!

I was lucky enough to work along side Mr. Will at the Norfolk SPCA for a bit. He was always so kind and always wanted to walk the dogs who needed it most. It didn´t seem to matter to him if it was the easiest dog or the most difficult to walk. He had a smile on his face the whole time. I´ll never forget it was storming hard one day, and he walked over to the cattery to check it on us. I told him it had been a tough day so far but we were pushing along. He responded with, "no matter how tough it gets, we have to keep going for the sake of the animals. We are all that they have, and sometimes just that little extra push changes their whole world." That really stuck with me. I was lucky enough to help him adopt one of the cats we had. Was quite the expense with the medical problems the cat had. But Mr. Will didn´t care. He took the sweet baby in, and I just knew the cat was going to be so lucky to have him. He truly was such an amazing man who touched the lives of everyone around him. All the best wishes to his family, I know he is shining his light down upon everyone.

Dear Jonna and Walker Family, I am so sorry to hear of Will's passing. I have fond memories of when I lived in the neighborhood. You and Will were so welcoming. I will never forget your Halloween parties, going to hear your friend's band, and the fact that you both attended my promotion ceremony. I can still hear Will laughing about my brothers' antics. I hope you can find comfort in the friends and family around you during this difficult time, to celebrate Will's well lived life! Love, Tina Davidson
