Willard Leon Souders

Willard Leon Souders, age 95, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family. He was an Edmonson County native boy that loved horses, fishing, hunting, and owning hunting dogs. Leon was a longtime member of Clearfork Baptist Church. He retired from Holley Carburetor after 41 years of being a dedicated employee from March 10, 1953 until May 1, 1992.
Leon was the son of the late Guy Souders and Euna Higgs Souders. Along with his parents, he was proceeded in death by his son, Steve "Stevie" Leon Souders who was 25 when he passed, a young life taken too soon; four brothers: Deray, Porter, James Jr, and Conrad Souders; and three sisters, Shirley Lush, Lucille Gonzales, and Eva Bowman;
Leon is survived by his daughter, Pamela S. Milam and husband, Jeffery and their children Tristan and Nicole; his granddaughter, Stephanie Souders and her mother, Mona; two great-grandsons; his sister, Betty Souders Massey; and sister-in-law, Charlotte Denney Souders; nephews, Tony Souders and his wife Carla; his niece, Angela Linhardt and her husband Greg; his great-nephews, Geron Linhardt and his wife Madison, and Andrew Linhardt and Steven Souders; and longtime companion, Camella Stamper who was one of the reasons he lived a long and happy life.
The family would like to thank Hosparus Care and Barren River Heath District for their help during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to Clearfork Baptist Church.
There are no services at this time, a memorial will be held at a later date.
